✔️ Guttering Upgrade
When constructing a new shed in your garden, it is crucial to consider installing a guttering system.
A functional guttering system can help extend the life of your shed by preventing rainwater from running down the sides and causing damage to the structure. It also prevents water from accumulating around the base, which can cause issues in the long run.
Furthermore, you can use the guttering and a water butt to collect and store rainwater for future use in your garden.
✔️ Bearers Upgrade
Shed longevity can be enhanced by using Pressure Treated Shed Bearers, which safeguard the shed's floor and lower section. These timber bearers are suitable for both Apex and Pent Sheds and can extend the lifespan of your shed.
It is advisable to install bearers to allow for airflow beneath the shed's floor, which helps prevent rising damp from attacking the timber.
Our Buildings
This garden building is made of slow-growing, sustainable Scandinavian Pine sourced from well-managed FSC or PEFC certified forests. All models feature 16mm nominal (approximately 12mm finished) tongue and groove shiplap timber walls, as well as tongue and groove roofs and floors, although these can be upgraded to a massive 22mm nominal thickness (approximately 18mm finished) if necessary. It is important to note that NO chipboard or OSB is utilized in the construction of ANY TGB building. The TGB buildings are delivered pre-treated with an environmentally friendly preservative in a light brown basecoat. Internally, strong, smoothed, rounded, and planed framing has been utilized, with double framing at the corners for added durability. The roof is waterproof thanks to mineral roofing felt.

💧 Guttering Options
Gutters – Protect Your Building and Collect Rainwater
Installing guttering on your shed is a smart addition that helps extend the life of your building. It prevents rainwater from running down the sides, minimises the risk of damp and rot, and stops water from pooling around the base.
Guttering also gives you the opportunity to collect rainwater in a water butt — perfect for eco-friendly garden watering.

🌲 Pressure Treated Bearers
Pressure-Treated Bearers – Extra Protection for Your Building
Pressure-treated bearers provide vital support and protection for the base of your building. By raising the floor slightly off the ground, they help reduce the risk of moisture damage, rot, and rising damp — significantly extending the lifespan of your building.
Suitable for all of our buildings, they also improve airflow beneath the structure to keep your building dry and well-ventilated.
