Terms And Conditions

TO ENSURE THE LONGEVITY OF YOUR ASHDOWN GARDEN BUILDING, PLEASE ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

  1. Ensure that there are no branches or foliage hanging over your building, as they can deteriorate the roofing material or cause damage to the roof structure. It is advised to inspect and remove any overhanging vegetation regularly.

  2. Verify that there are no puddles or water accumulation underneath your building. Standing water can lead to dampness and potential damage. Take necessary measures to prevent water pooling around the structure.

  3. Regularly apply oil to all furniture and wooden surfaces in your timber building. This will help maintain the wood's quality and protect it from rot and insect infestation.

  4. We recommend sealing your Ashdown Garden Building with a high-quality waterproof sealant. We strongly endorse the use of Protek (Royal exterior for self-application), which is available for direct purchase from us. Applying three coats annually is recommended. Additional coats may be required for structures in open areas. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the building remains watertight.

  5. Installation of gutters is advised to prevent water drips from being blown onto the building and to minimize splash-back onto the building's base.

ASHDOWN GARDEN BUILDINGS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Ownership: All buildings are the property of Ashdown Garden Buildings until full payment is received. We retain the right to reclaim the building at any time until full payment is made.

Deposit and Payment: A non-refundable deposit is required upon ordering, and full payment must be received at least 7 days after the building is delivered and installed. Refunds, if applicable, will incur an administrative fee and a deduction of 10% of the total order cost or the non-refundable deposit amount, whichever is greater. Please note that bespoke buildings, bases, bearers, Protek products, and all accessories are non-refundable.

Bases: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the ground under any base, such as concrete or platform bases, is firm enough to support both the base and the building. The customer should also ensure that the completed base is flat, level, solid, and of adequate size to fully support the building. The sizes provided are for the floor area. All concrete or slab bases should not have any shallow or raised areas. We recommend the use of reinforcement mesh and damp-proof membrane, available at an additional charge, to prevent cracking, movement, and moisture penetration. The customer should consider all height restrictions and assume full responsibility for any planning issues related to the bases. Installation dates for bases are subject to change. Once installed, bases cannot be moved. Ashdown Garden Buildings will not be held responsible for any problems arising from faulty base work constructed by the customer.
